About Sunita

Sunita Shastry has always had an interest in writing. An avid reader, “closet poet” and occasional writer; she finally came out with her debut novel in 2014, which was followed by another one in 2019, which had some of the characters reappear in it. With versatile interests, as a special educator by training, she runs a not-for-profit that supports a school for children with special needs in Bangalore, India. She has used her expertise in child development and special education to work in varied professional endeavors.

She currently resides in Washington, IL with her husband. She has a son, a daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren living in Chicago. Her interests other than reading include gardening, crafting, writing, and travel.
